thedailynewsonline.com 10 September 2012 CASTILE — Carolyn J. Miller, 95, of Park Road West, Castile, died Saturday (Sept. 8, 2012) at East Side Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw. She was born April 20, 1917, in Castile, daughter of the late Roscoe and Bessie Curtis Ahl. She was employed for over 30 years at Letchworth Central School in Gainesville, retiring as a secretary. She was a longtime active member of the Castile United Church of Christ. Carolyn enjoyed sewing, crafts and gardening. Surviving are her husband of 76 years, Albert Miller whom she married Nov. 19, 1935; her children, Douglas G. (Sally) Miller of Castile, Audrey Evangelist of Honeoye Falls, and Dennis (Dawn) Miller of Castile; six grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; her sister, Doris Flint of Warsaw; several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Burdette Miller, grandmother of the late Bruce Beaumont and sister of the late Victor Ahl and Miriam Perrine. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Harmon-Watson Funeral Home, 35 North Main St., Castile. Carolyn’s funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Castile United Church of Christ (corner of North Main and Washington streets, Castile). Private interment will be in Alger Cemetery, Hume.
