thedailynewsonline.com 10 September 2012 HOLLEY — George E. Webster Jr., 80, of West Albion Road died Saturday (Sept. 8, 2012) at his residence following a long illness. He was born Aug. 4, 1932, in Rochester to George (Sr.) and Wilhelmina Webster and had been a lifetime resident of this area. Mr. Webster was a retired U.S. Air Force staff sergeant and recipient of the Bronze Star Medal for his service in Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of the Jewel Buckman Post American Legion and the VFW of Brockport. George enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards, and driving his 1970 Cadillac convertible as well as dancing, and was especially fond of children. Mr. Webster was predeceased by a brother Blythe and a sister Gail. He is survived by his wife of 32 years Rita; stepchildren, Gregory (Beth) DeFrank of Florida, Doug (Betsy) DeFrank of Ohio, Michelle (Mike Vendetti) Goudreau of Holley, and Terri (Gary Smith) Fanton of Holley; brothers, Mervin (Donna) Webster of Florida, Gary (Barbara) Wester of Brockport, and Drew (Gloria) Webster of Eagle Bay, N.Y.; sister, Gwynne (Orrin) VanOrden of Hamlin; grandchildren, Sheldon Goudreau, Jamie (Jasmine) Fanton, and Danielle Fanton; great-grandchildren, Noah Goudreau, Taryn Fanton and Olivia Mayes; sisters-in-law, Betty, Phyllis and Gale; and several nieces, nephews and friends including a special niece Christy Quaranto. The family will receive friends for calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes Inc., 16650 West Albion Rd. (Route 31), Holley, where his memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday followed by military honors at the funeral home. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
